- Develop your skills in studio lighting by building a strong foundation of basic information about light and the use of lighting equipment .
- Learn thoughtful and logical light building processes and what controls are available.
- Know the physical characteristics of light and how a subject responds to that light.
The Lecturer
An advertising photographer with over 10 years experience, Allan Z. Razo has spent most of his years developing and perfecting his skills in studio lighting techniques. He is the photographer of Commercial Imaging, an advertising studio outfit in Makati City. Top clients include advertising agencies such as Campaigns & Grey, Mc Cann Erickson, and Publicis to name a few and a long list of graphic design studios and multinational corporations. He is a pro who excels both in training and theoretical expertise in photography which made him an avant-garde thereof. He acquired his formal training at the New York Institute of Photography in 1997. He has conducted workshops and has given lectures to several major photographic gatherings. He was lecturer at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde where he taught basic and elective photography courses for its Multi Media Arts program. He initiated and speaheaded the development of its one-year Diploma Course in Professional Photography now being offered by the school, where he is currently a faculty member. His passion and motivation to create fine art prints lead him to large format cameras and platinum printing - an early 19th century alternative photographic technique that utilizes contact printing method and sunlight to create exquisite, handmae monochrome prints. He has exhibited his works in Austria and recently at the Art Center in Megamall. His prints are in private collections around the world - in the United States, Austria, Canada, France, Sweden, Germany, Bermuda, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and Norway.
