Lighting for Product Photography Workshop by Jay Alonzo (September 2006)
September 23 and 30 (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
This Lighting for Product Photography course, a specialized commercial photography for small products that will easily fit on a table in a photography studio, discusses in detail photographing and illuminating packaged products for catalog, brochure, poster, publicity kit, manual, print, outdoor, and online ads.
Better product photography in print and web advertisements will translate to higher sales. As a result, commercial advertising photography and catalog product photography are always in demand. As a first step for aspiring product photographers, this course consists of lecture, critiquing and extensive studio sessions.
Emphasis will be given to the following workshop topics:
- Basic equipment for a tabletop studio
- Camera settings
- Controlling light for product photography
- Different lighting techniques
- Using appropriate light based on kind and material of the product
Requirement
- Must have taken the Primer on Lighting workshop or equivalent
- A film-based or digital SLR camera
- Optional: Lens 70mm or longer, tripod, flash exposure meter, IR trigger

Fee
Php3,500.00 inclusive of manual, film, products and other props, use of the lighting tools and equipment, and certificate
