Manny Librodo — Highly Rated Digital Camera Magazine Photographer of the Year 2006
After Manny Pacquiao wins over Erik Morales at the Grand Finale, another Manny emerges from a contest that would definitely make his fellow Filipinos proud.
Manuel “Manny” Librodo Jr. from the Philippines is one of the five Highly Rated Digital Camera Magazine Photographer of the Year for 2006.
“It’s a privilege to be counted among the best,” says the 41-year-old psychology teacher. “It’s also a pleasure forging friendships with my co-finalists as we exchange email messages to simply congratulate each other.” Manuel followed his praise in the Travel category with this shot of a man the port of Kusamba, Bali, for the final Escape challenge. “He was elusive,” says Manuel, “and seemed to want to escape from public scrutiny.”
