Participants will be tasked with on the spot photo assignments within a limited time frame to challenge your creativity & skill!
Date: December 16, 2006
Time: Registration opens at 9:30AM (participants must be registered online)
Venue: (HQ) Palacio de Maynila, Malate, Manila (beside Rajah Sulayman)
First 300 registrants only!
Canon DSLR users can join for FREE. Non-Canon DLSR users are REQUIRED to pay a 500 peso joining fee.
NO P&S digital cameras
One camera body unit ONLY. Extra lenses are allowed.
Two primary photography assignments PLUS a special (optional) category. All assignments shall be revealed during the competition.
Participants must complete the 2 primary assignments to be eligible to win a prize.
Criteria for judging:
Relevance to theme 30%
Creativity in theme interpretation 20%
Composition of photograph 30%
Overall impact 20%
Two winners per category and one overall winner.
DINNER WILL BE SERVED.
NO MANIPULATIONS. Filters & in camera adjustments are allowed.
Images should be in JPEG format and should not be more than 4MB in size.
One photo per assignment.

Good Day! Do you have a mailing list where i could join? Just so i may have the opportunity to read updates or articles about events and other stuff about photography here in the Philipipines? It was too late when i knew about this “Canon Shoot & Run Photo Contest 2006”, I knew about this contest just the day before the event. I’d appreciate it if I could just have a calendar of events so I could invite some of my fellow young photographers to join and so we could prepare also.
We are all so passionate in exploring the world with the art of light! Thank you!
