Intended for novice photographers and photo hobbyists, this workshop covers the following topics:
- Controlling factors that make or break a photograph
- Introduction to lighting concepts in photography
- Understanding the film and the camera
- Learning the technical aspects of taking photos
- Learning how to design your photographs for visual impact
- Applying the technical and design aspects of the workshop on various shooting applications
Requirement
135-format film-based SLR, a rangefinder type camera, or a digital camera with manual exposure control

Speaker
Now on his 10th year of teaching, Jay Alonzo is considered as one of the country’s leading photography-workshop instructors. He has beeen teaching regularly at The Alcove since 2001, and he has also conducted photography classes for Picture Company, Pilipinas Shell, Chevron/Caltex, Procter & Gamble, and Microsoft Philippines.
In between classes, Jay is involved in shooting for hotel, tourism, and restaurant businesses such as Big Buddha, Superbowl of China, Chili’s, Pier One, Mr. Softy, Sicilian Express, Tin Hau, and Hotel Mandarin. Also, Jay is currently a photo contributor for High Life and Mabuhay (Philippine Airline’s in-flight magazine).
Fee
Php 3,500.00 inclusive of handout, film, meals, and certificate
