Filipino Photographer Bags 3rd Place in WHO Photo Contest
Shutter Box Philippines previously featured Dennis Rito as the only Filipino finalist in the WHO Photo Contest last April 2007 and asked for your support to vote for Dennis.

The long wait is now over and the results are out. Dennis Rito bags the 3rd place in the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Photo and Video Contest 2006-2007 - Images of Health and Disability.
My entries “Life Under the Bridge” and “Slum Dwellers” placed 3rd (black & white category) and special mention (colour category) respectively.

Life Under the Bridge: Dennis Rito’s entry for the B&W Photographs Category won 3rd place.

Slum Dwellers: Dennis Rito’s entry for the Colour Photographs Category received special mention.
Photos used with permission from Dennis Rito.
Dennis will receive $500 US-Dollars + one set of ICF and PHE publications for bagging the 3rd place in the black and white category.
Check out the winning entries at the WHO Website.
