3. Extreme Exploration (IMAGES THAT EXPLORE REMOTE TERRITORY AND EXOTIC LOCATIONS, AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY, UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY)

4. Urban Landscapes (CITYSCAPES, TOWNS, VILLAGES)

5. Snapshots (FUN, QUIRKY, UNPREDICTABLE, SPONTANEOUS MOMENTS)

6. Open Series (UP TO SIX IMAGES - DESCRIBING THE EXPERIENCE OF A PLACE IN PHOTO ESSAY FORM)

AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST

AWARDS & PRIZES 

1st Prize Choice of 11-day trip for two to Arctic Norway OR 10-day trip for two to the Galapagos Islands.
2nd Prize 7-day Photography Workshop for one in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

Bonus Award Your winning images will be featured in the January/February 2008 edition of National Geographic Traveler, and exhibited at the World in Focus Gallery at PhotoPlus Expo, October 18-20, 2007 in New York. All winners will also receive a one-year subscription to Photo District News. All winning images will be featured on the World in Focus Contest website, and the National Geographic Traveler website.

PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST

AWARDS & PRIZES

Winning images will be featured in a special section of PDN’s February 2008 issue. Prizes will include cameras, printers and other equipment. Additional prizes include PhotoPlus Expo seminar package and Photoserve.com portfolio.

Professional Photo Contest Entry Fee: US$ 35 per entry / US$ 25 per student entry
