Canon releases EOS Utility 2.0.2 for Windows and Mac OS X.
The Canon EOS Utility is a software for EOS Digital cameras that combines all the functions involving communication with the camera. This software accommodates features such as importing and viewing images on the computer by connecting the camera to the computer, using the remote shooting function, and controlling the camera from the computer to specify the camera settings. The update adds the following new features:
Windows Version
- Support added for Auto Power OFF (camera) during Remote Live View shooting
The Auto Power Off function can now be used during Remote Live View shooting with EOS-1D Mark III. - Corrected “From PC” in Time Setting on the Camera
It’s corrected that the “From PC” in “Date/Time” of the camera setting does not function properly when a computer is working in daylight saving time. - The setting value of Picture Style files will be applied to camera.
When a picture style file is set to the camera, the parameters included in the file (contrast/color tone/color depth/sharpness) will be applied to the camera.
MAC Version
- Support added for Auto Power Off (camera) during Remote Live View shooting.
The Auto Power Off function can now be used during Remote Live View shooting with EOS-1D Mark III. - Corrected the Click White Balance during Remote Live View shooting.
It’s corrected that the unintended WB is set when the Click White Balance is performed during the Remote Live View shooting with EOS-1D Mark III. - The setting value of Picture Style files will be applied to camera.
When a picture style file is set to the camera, the parameters included in the file (contrast/colortone/color depth/sharpness) will be applied to the camera. - Shortening the initial communication in wireless connections with WFT-E2.
The time required for initial communication in wireless connections with Wireless File Transmitter WFT-E2 has been shortened.

To download Canon EOS Utility 2.0.2 via the Canon website:
- Select ‘Downloads’ then ‘Consumer’
- Select ‘EOS (SLR) Camera Systems’ followed by ‘Digital EOS Cameras’ and your camera model
- Click ‘Drivers/Software’
- Select the required software and your operating system
- Agree to the disclaimer to proceed to the download page

I have been a Canon fanatic for more than ten years. The sad thing about it is that, Nikon gives me polo shirts and other stuffs every Christmas through Konica, which is one the printers where I am accredited. So I take pictures at times with Canon wearing a black polo shirt with a big print “NIKON” at the side pocket in front, with a bold design at the back: “one of the world’s greatest photographers”. I wonder when Canon will do the same.

Thank you for dropping by. Canon usually gives away shirts too when there are events like product launchings and sponsored events like club events and contests just like the Canon Shoot and Run.
