About the instructor:
Wesley Villarica – Director of Photography

After completing a degree in psychology, taking a brief stint in law school and earning his MBA, Wesley Villarica found himself honing a one- time hobby into a professional career dedicated to displaying the beauty and novelty of life in photography. His innovative images are not just photos but are testaments that he is constantly pushing the limits of his imagination, advocating a different point of view. It was this imagination along with his relentless drive that has led him to form Parallax Studio.

By seamlessly inculcating the colors and textures of make-up, clothing and styling into thematic lighting and set designs, his photos have graced the pages of Dimsum Hong Kong, Maxim Philippines, Seventeen Magazine, Candy Magazine, Manual Magazine, FHM Philippines, Uno Magazine, Metroactive, Appetite Magazine, Youngstar, Mommy Academy, Seair InFlight, People Asia, and Fudge Magazine. He has also done portraitures of various personalities such as Secretary Joseph “Ace” Durano, Yves Piaget of Piaget International, Noel Carino of Fil Estate, Rafael Garcia III of Mega Computing, Bianca King, Patty Morato, Sid Lucero, Ciara Sotto, Jenine Desiderio, Phoemela Baranda, Paolo Paraiso, Aleck Bovick, and Cindy Kurleto, He has also photographed various bands like Cheese, Kamikazee, Itchyworms, Slapshock and many others.

As a discriminating food enthusiast, food is always appetizing as seen in his photos for Tokyo Tokyo, Tostada, Wasabi, Mexicali, Chimara and food editorials for Chef Ed’s, Good Earth and Nuvo. His work can also be found in various press releases, ad campaigns, and promotional materials for Nike Beautiful, Nike Summer League Campaign, EPSON, DHL, Nestle, No Curfew Watches, Tommy Hilfiger Watches, Huggies, GBX Shoes, Sarah Lee Direct Selling, TIGI Bed Head, and Davines.

Published work includes: MAXIM Philippines (Fashion Editorials, Features), Vision Magazine (Cover), Lifestyle Asia (Fashion Editorials), FHM Phils (features, portraiture), Uno Magazine (Cover Stories, fashion editorials, portraits, centerfold spreads), Manual Magazine (features), A-List Magazine (Cover Story), MetroActive, Preview (features), Metro Magazine (features), Appetite Magazine (food, portraiture), Youngstar (food, architecture, features), Mommy Academy (products, food, fashion), People Asia (cover story, feature portraits), Seair InFlight (food, interiors), Fudge (Cover stories, fashion editorials, feature portraits, interiors, food) Seventeen Magazine (Fashion Guides), and Dimsum Magazine Hong Kong (Cover Story and Fashion Editorial).
