Shutter Box Philippines :: Digital Photography and A Whole Lot More

“Who wants to shoot Humpback Whales Breaching?” asked Rolly Magpayo, an avid videographer, photographer and explorer as he plans to go back to Camiguin Island for a week long photo-safari during the holy week.

Camiguin Island (Norte), not the one near Cagayan de Oro, is part of the Babuyan Group of Islands. The Babuyan Group of Islands (A.K.A. Calayan Group of Islands) currently has 15 identified species of Cetaceans (Whales & Dolphins).

Rolly used to go there as volunteer videographer for World Wide Fund for Nature and after 4 years of research, he is planning to go back to just photograph the Humpback Whales and the other species of whales and dolphins.

Rolly hopes to be able to form a group with at least 5 companions for this trip who would also want to get close to nature and at the same time help promote conservation of the our environment.
