This is your chance to shoot some marathon action and at the same time help promote saving our environment this Sunday.
The Race for Tubbataha ‘08 is a fund raising event for the purpose of preserving the Tubbataha reefs.
Starting point is at the NBC Tent Open Grounds. Race starts at 6:00 AM sharp.
The Tubbataha Reefs near Puerto Princesa, Palawan are the largest reef atoll in the country and serves as a sancutary for the majority of marine life in the region. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage site and is internationally recognized for its diverse ecosystem. The reefs are a major source of livelihood for most people in the region.
There are 3 race categories: 3K, 5K and 10K run. Check out the route map of each category so you will have a better idea on the flow of the race.
If you want to shoot more, you might also want to drop by the American War Memorial after the marathon.
